Year 11 Parents’ Evening will run from 4.30-7.30pm on Wednesday 21st January.
This will be the final Parents’ Evening for Year 11 and the most important, as we will issue their mock results, current grades and predicted grades in the Year 11 report. There will then be an opportunity for you to meet with each of your child’s teachers to discuss how they can improve between now and the summer exams. There will also be important information about interventions we are putting in place to support students who are underachieving given out at this event. You may also have questions about college applications which we can help and support with on this date.
We have an appointment system for this evening and your child will be asked to make an appointment on your behalf with their subject teachers. Each appointment will last for 5 minutes and we ask that you keep to time. Your child will record their appointment times with each teacher in their planner so they should bring their planner with them on the evening.
Please arrive at the Community Entrance (via the car park) where you will be able to collect your child’s report and proceed to the designated area for your first appointment. We would suggest that you arrive 10 minutes early so that you have time to discuss the report with your child. It is compulsory that your child accompanies you to Parents’ evening. We expect all students to attend in full school uniform.
If you need a translator, we suggest that you bring a family member or friend with you who can act as an interpreter. However, if you would like to request a translator, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your requirements. Please indicate your preferred time slot on the reply slip below and return it to your child’s form tutor by Wednesday 14th January. We look forward to seeing you at this important event.
