At Heartlands High School, the vast majority of our students consistently meet our expectations for uniform and presentation, and we are incredibly proud of them for doing so. These standards help create a calm, respectful and inclusive environment where everyone feels part of the same team and where the focus can remain firmly on learning.

Every year, we see a number of students arrive in expensive trainers, often bought in good faith by parents who have been advised by shop assistants or friends that they are suitable for school. To avoid any disappointment or unnecessary expense, please remember that only plain black school shoes are permitted trainers, Converse, or boots are not allowed.

If you’re unsure whether a pair meets our uniform policy, feel free to email a photo or a link to: office@heartlands.haringey.sch.uk before purchasing. We’re happy to help check in advance!

To maintain equality and unity across our school community, we have a zero-tolerance approach to any breaches of uniform and appearance expectations. This ensures that no student feels singled out, distracted, or set apart from their peers, and that everyone is ready to learn, free from unnecessary pressures or comparisons.

Please take a moment to read through the expectations below and ensure that they are followed every day.
