Dear Parents/Carers and Year 11 students,
GCSE Results Day – Thursday 21st August at 9.00 am
I hope that you and your families are well. I am writing to outline the plan for results day this year, which will take place on Thursday 21st August.
Students can arrive at school to collect their results from 9.00 am. We strongly encourage students to come in and collect their results in person on the day. Parents or family members accompanying students will be asked to wait in the car park whilst students collect their results. In the instance where you are unable to come into school all results will then be emailed to students Heartlands email accounts at 1pm on Thursday 21st August. Please note, students’ HHS email accounts will be deactivated on 31st August 2025.
Results day can be a tough day for some students, so we will make sure that there are lots of staff around to support our Year 11s students. Once students have collected their results, they will have a short check in with a member of staff to confirm their contact details, and discuss their Post 16 options. We have a legal obligation to report all Post 16 destinations of our students, so this check in is incredibly important. Our Careers Advisor will also be at school to provide more specialist support on Thursday 22nd August and Friday 23rd of August between the hours of 9.30 a.m. and 12.00 p.m. and she will be based in the library. With their statement of results students will also receive a post results services application form. Students can use this form if they have a query or concern about a particular result.
It is important to remember that no matter what the outcome is on Results Day, everyone will have options for Post 16. We are so proud of every single one of our Year 11 students, and look forward to welcoming everyone back for their results.
On the day we will also have an area for students to donate revision guides, Heartlands uniform items and school bags. If you have spare items that are in good condition, please bring them along on the day. Please read on for the answers to some ‘frequently asked questions’ around Results Day. If you have any queries about the day or the process, please contact me at andy.greenwood@heartlands.haringey.sch.uk
Yours sincerely
