Food and Textile Technician

Salary:  Scale 5- £24,693 to £26,520 pro rata actual £22,446 to £24,107

Contract type: 36 hours per week (pro-rata), Term Time only
Contract term: Maternity contract / October 2021

About the role

We require a highly skilled and qualified Food and Textile Technician to support the Design Faculty.  The post holder will, under the guidance of the Head of Faculty, provide technical support to the Faculty and manage the resources and equipment and hygiene and safety in relation to Food and Textiles.

The successful candidates will be responsible for duties including:

â—Ź Material and project preparation; ordering, stock control, assisting within lessons on a daily basis and supporting larger projects for KS4.
â—Ź Implementing high standards of hygiene and safety in and outside of lessons, and maintenance of equipment to ensure a safe learning environment for the students. Provide technical support to students where required to promote achievement. Responsible for updating risk assessments in line with safeguarding law.

The successful candidate will have:
