We are aware there are strikes planned for April/May. You can read HERE more on the strikes fromt he BBC
We will release full details of who we can have into school on strike days. At the moment we can comit to the following:
- 27th April: Year 11 in all day all other have a program of home study (Key invites to SEND and vulnerable students will be issued)
- 2nd May: Year 11 in all day all other have a program of home study (Key invites to SEND and vulnerable students will be issued)
Photography and art exams for year 11 will continue on these days as planned.
There has been light snowfall in some parts of London and the South East. School remains open as usual.
Most students will be working from home on March 2nd due to NEU teacher strikes. You can read our advice on what and how to work HERE
A small number of students have been invited to come to school for on site activities. If your child is invited we have sent you a registration form via text: please complete this to indicate attendance.
The next strikes are due to be on March 15th and 16th: for these days we are hoping to work on a plan to open to at least one year group (year 11) but we will keep you informed via the website and text message updates.

The Nation Union of Education has annouced a series of strikes which will impact all schools.
We are speaking to union representatives and members today to gaugae the impact on HHS. We will announce a plan later today.

Over the Christmas period we will be closed to visitors. Only pre booked appointments on the following days will be permitted onsite: December 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd only.
If you call and leave a message be aware you will not receive a response until after the 3rd January 2023

- We have gritted and cleared the site and made it safe as long as students are sensible and stick to cleared paths they will be safe
- Stuents should avoid public trasnport at all costs, there is a train strike and the buses will be VERY busy. Walking sensisbly to school is the best idea. Students should leave early as walking will take longer
- students should wear senisble, waterproof shoes to school.
Please remind students:
- to bring all their equipement to school as usual we will be teaching a full normal timetable from P3
- not to throw or play with the snow/ice etc as we have cleared this into piles it may have other materials in it they can not see which would hurt someone if thrown
We will be opening on the 13/12/2022. This is all down to the hard work of our facilites team who are amazing and have worked all day to make this a possibility!
We will open to students from 10.30am with lessons starting at 10.50am. Some points of organisation:
