Strike days LATEST UPDATE

22nd January 2023Ms E Roberts
There are many unions in education, the biggest being the NEU.Ā  The NEU have confirmed strike action for their members.
There are a number of dates which impact HHS; these are:
  • 1st February
  • 2nd March
  • 15th March
  • 16th March
We are planning for the first two dates at present and will release a plan for the latter dates nearer the time.
We will be unable to open to all students on the 1st of February and 2nd of March as we will not have enoughĀ non-strikingĀ staff for this to be safe/possible. Please note: you will need to make alternative arangments for your children on the 1st of February and the 2nd March.Ā Ā

On these days we will:

  • Invite in our most vulnerable students, we will be in touch this week with these invites
  • Offer guidance on work students can complete at home VIA the DPR and Email
We will write to you later in the week in preparation for the first strike day to ensure you are all aware of what to expect and the support we can offer.
