Roald Dahl Day

15th September 2016Ms A Farnum-Davies
On Tuesday, 13th September, we held a party, along with hundreds of other schools across the world, to celebrate Roald Dahl Day.
Author Roald Dahl would have been 100 years old and we celebrated by joining a virtual classroom broadcast from the Cambridge Theatre, home of ‘Matilda’ the Musical, for games, quizzes, and a draw along with illustrator Quentin Blake.
Students received Roald Dahl badges and some received prizes for winning our quiz, dressing up and drawing competitions.
This event launched the Bookclub, which runs each Tuesday and Thursday after school. For more information and to view photos of Library events – please follow us on Twitter @LibraryHHS or on the library blog https://heartlandshighschoolharingeylibrary.wordpress.com.
